David Rosen

David Rosen is a Masters student at Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies.  There he is also Student Social Media Strategist and organizer of the #140Cuse conference.  He recently graduated from Syracuse University where he dual majored in Information Management Technology (School of Information Studies) and Finance (Whitman School of Management).  During that time he was a member of the University’s Social Media Initiative, working to develop and manage the University’s presence on popular social media networks. Rosen fashioned the relationship between the SU and Foursquare, leading to the launch of SU’s popular Foursquare brand page, and eventually growing to over 25,000 followers.  During this process, he collaborated with Foursquare to develop the “Foursquare for Universities” program. As the official Foursquare campus representative for SU, he worked closely with many university departments as well as local businesses to promote events via the Foursquare platform.  Rosen was named Class Marshal for the iSchool Class of 2011 and is very involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
